This is the January illustration for my 2026 Calendar: Alpenglow on Mt. Adams in southwest Washington. This might be my favorite! It’s the south side, not far from Glenwood. A wintry scene without snow.

Favorite son did great! Lucky to have a support group of friends, including sister and a sweet girlfriend who made him cupcakes upon marathon completion.

Nobody made me cupcakes when I finished.

The amazing (and very authentic ) Japanese Garden in Portland on a beautiful fall day. It was soooo crowded, I guess everybody’s coming for the fall colors, still a little early but some maples are showing off already. And the koi! So brilliant
