Murren, Switzerland • 2019

We were lucky to travel to Switzerland the last year before the pandemic. A friend told me to stay in the mountain village of Murren which we did! It’s only accessible by a tram, no cars are allowed other than service vehicles. It’s perched on the rim of the Lauterbrunnen Valley which, because of the many waterfalls, served as the inspiration for Rivendell in Lord of the Rings. We did several hikes here but this view of the mountain cabin inspired me. Incredibly every house here looked like this. We hope to return some day to visit this magical place.
